VOLUME VI

GUY KOJAK MAGAZINE

Volume VI brings together experimental poems and short prose about messy modern life: sex, war, mental health, grief, politics, and awkward love. Using voices from different places and classes, it moves between satire, anger, dark humour, and quiet reflection. The pieces share a focus on how people cope, badly or bravely, in a world that feels harsh, absurd, and occasionally still kind.

A book cover with a red background and a large black cross. The title is repeated three times in black bold text, "Tick. Tick. Tick." and the author's name, Danny Ray Cuhen, appears at the bottom.

Tick. Tick. Tick. ick. ick. ick.

Tick. Tick. Tick. ick. ick. ick. is a confessional narrative that traces a single speaker’s life from childhood trauma through war, addiction, and attempted self-destruction, exposing how violence—both personal and systemic—infects every layer of existence.

It's both an elegy and a confession: a record of what violence leaves behind in the body, in memory, and in color.
