The Surrealist Issue

β€˜The simplest Surrealist act consists of dashing down the street, pistol in hand, and firing blindly, as fast as you can pull the trigger, into the crowd. Anyone who, at least once in his life, has not dreamed of thus putting an end to the petty system of debasement and cretinization in effect has a well-defined place in that crowd with his belly at barrel-level.’

Suicidally Stupid

by Atimanyu Vashishth

Atimanyu Vashishth is an artist and poet based in London. He writes of the psychotropic anticipation that is there in romance. A romance between seemingly normal, underwhelming persons. It is a farcical tragedy, proof that there always is a fly in the ointment. His characters share an unyielding sense of their own potential, which seemingly leads them into hopeless situations. That being said they still imbibe a peculiar contentment. It is poignant, to say the least.
