Matthew Deeley 

Matthew Deeley is a Brighton-based director and filmmaker with a background in narrative short films and stylised commercial content. A graduate of MetFilm School, his work blends emotionally charged storytelling with visual flair. He is the Co-founder of Obscura Motion and is passionate about crafting character-driven stories that challenge perception and linger beyond the screen. 

Matthew directed the super short film Temptation, which won first place at Guy Kojak’s First Annual Super Short Film Festival.

CJ ELLIS 

CJ Ellis is a self-taught British-Canadian 2D animator with a background in illustration. Humour plays a key part in his visual style, though his work often explores deeper themes such as mental health, loneliness, and relationships. He draws inspiration from sound and music, treating audio as a central character in his storytelling.

CJ directed the super short film Happy Birthday Bobby, which won second place at Guy Kojak’s First Annual Super Short Film Festival 

MISA ASO 

Misa Aso is a recent graduate from Kingston School of Art, Illustration Animation BA. She is a 2D illustrator and animator working across a range of subjects, styles and materials, with a particular interest in visually representing music and abstract soundscapes.

Misa directed the super short film When The Clock Stops, which won third place at Guy Kodak’s First Annual Super Short Film Festival. 

CONNOR HOWE

Connor Howe is an Actor, VO artist, Filmmaker and Co-founder of Hollowshock Productions.  Connor was the lead in the super short film Temptation, directed by Matthew Deeley.
